Flamborough is the most rural part of Hamilton northwest of King's Highway 5 out to the municipal boundary, just shy of Highway 401. Just to the east is the community of Waterdown. Other Flamborough communities include: Carlisle, Christie's Corners, Clappison's Corners, Copetown, Freelton, Greensville, Lynden, Kirkwall, Millgrove, Mountsberg, Orkney, Rockton, Troy, Sheffield, Valens, and Westover.

Shopping

There's a big box shopping centre in Waterdown on Dundas Street East near Highway 5. Shoppers also tend to go into Hamilton, Dundas, Ancaster and Burlington.

Recreation

Every fall, the Rockton World's Fair draws crowds from far and wide with its food & festivities, rides & games and events like the pet show, pie eating contest, and demolition derby. Enjoy the great outdoors with the Conservation areas. Plus, the southern edge of this largely rural community has the Bruce Trail along the edge of the Niagara Escarpment. There is also the Flamboro Downs Casino, auto speed racing, a variety of community centres, and so much more!
